Wildlife

Wildlife indigenous to the Sabi Sabi area includes Cape buffalo, elephant, Reedbuck, spotted hyena, cheetah, giraffe, Burchell’s zebra, Black-backed jackal, duiker, hippopotamus, impala, kudu, leopard, lion, warthog, white rhinoceros, white-tailed mongoose, and wild dog, as well as a bird watcher’s wildest dream in the surrounding park’s extensive bird population.

The Sabi Sand Wildtuin (SSW) has stated that, with immediate effect, the gate fees into the reserve will be R190 per vehicle (this applies to vehicles larger than 3.5 tons). There will be a further charge of R50 per person levied. (Prices subject to change)
