A combination of standard and deluxe suites provides ample accommodation at Impodimo. Each of the 20 suites is appointed with twin beds (king size available on request), a full en-suite bathroom and outside shower, climate control air-conditioning, a fireplace and private patio.

For a truly luxurious experience, the stunning deluxe suites are additionally appointed with a spacious lounge and dining room, a private plunge pool and a private boma deck.

Wildlife

Situated in a unique area that lies between two distinct ecozones – the Kalahari sandveld and the northern bushveld – the reserve is a mosaic of diverse vegetation. Savannah plains are bordered by open woodlands and thickets, which give way to the foothills of the Dwarsberg Mountain Range in the South.

In 1991, through one of the largest game translocation exercises in the world, more than 8 000 animals were released into the reserve. There are currently 28 mammal species, including elephant, black and white rhino, buffalo, lion, cheetah, and wild dog, as well as over 350 bird species populating the bushveld here.

Air transfers are available from Oliver Thambo International (Johannesburg) to and from Madikwe on a daily basis.

BY ROAD:

Heading north from Johannesburg, take the N14 and the R24 to Magaliesburg.
Then take the R509 for roughly 69km through Derby to Koster.
Please be aware of potholes along this road, particularly from Derby to the Swartruggens junction.
Turn right in Koster to Swartruggens and continue through Swartruggens towards Groot Marico and Zeerust.
From Zeerust, continue straight on until you see a sign for Gaborone / Madikwe Game Reserve.
Turn right there.
This road travels through two rural villages, passing Madikwe Road Takeaways (a store and filling station) and Nietverdiend (a store, filling station and police station) and the Abjagterskop Gate for Madikwe Game Reserve (on your right).
Enter at the Wonderboom Gate, which is located to the right, about 7km past the Abjagterskop Gate.

Please note: You will need to pay a gate entrance fee of R160 per vehicle and R40 per person.The entrance fee can only be confirmed at the time of making your reservation (Prices subject to change)
