Route & Itinerary

Day 1: Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge

Your day starts mid morning at Johannesburg Airport where you board your plane for the flight to Hoedspruit airport. Look out for your name as you are welcomed off your flight. It is a short drive to the unique Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge situated in the heart of the Kruger National Park. You can also transfer from Johannesburg to Hoyo Hoyo by road. This trip leaves Johannesburg at 8.00 am and arrives in the early afternoon at Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge where you will settle in to your beautiful surroundings.

Day 2:

Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge offers first class comfort combined with the flair of the ancient traditions of the Tsonga tribe. The Lodge offers you a combination of the bush, traditional cuisine, the warmth of the accommodation together with the opportunity to witness the lifestyle and culture of the Shangaan people ensuring you an unforgettable safari experience.

Day 3-4: Departure Day

Hoyo-Hoyo means ‘welcome’ in Tsonga. The earthy, traditional Tsonga styled lodge offers you a unique blend of luxury and style in six beautifully furnished huts comprising large king beds, antique baths and air-conditioning. Combine this comfortable accommodation with a very dedicated staff; you will be forgiven for feeling at home.

Collect your strength after lunch for an unforgettable, spectacular late afternoon/evening game drive, where you track Africa’s Big Five and stop for a sun downer before searching for nocturnal animals. Spend your evening under the stars and enjoy being entertained with traditional Shangaan dances, storytelling and Mungoma introductions, a never to be forgotten experience.

Day 5:

Wake up early and enjoy a fragrant cup of coffee or tea before your early morning drive. Observe the predators of the African bush as they return from a hunt. Return to your Lowveld accommodation to indulge breakfast , freshen up and get ready to check out of your room for your further travel arrangements.
